The Problem: The client was a start-up firm composed of former employees of a regional brokerage firm. The previous employer sued the former employees whose law firm hired ZJS to provide litigation support.

Our Role: ZJS was able to document material weaknesses of the former employer that led the employees to leave. These included, but were not limited to, serious issues of a licensing and regulatory nature. ZJS research was a significant factor in the decision of news media to cover the legal battle.

The Result: The strategy worked: the story made headlines in legal, investment, and political blogs, and was covered on the front page of local and national newspapers and magazines, including the Wall Street Journal, leading the former employer to drop its claims and to settle the case out-of-court.
